Chair Highland opened the hearing on SCR1614 at 4:09pm.
Kyle Hamilton, Assistant Revisor, Office of The Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of SCR1614. (Attachment 2)

Representative Carlin moved to suspend the rules and take action on SCR1614. Representative Smith seconded the motion. The motion passed on a unanimous vote.
Representative Orr moved to favorably pass SCR1614 and that since it is uncontroversial in nature be placed on the Consent Calendar. Representative Thompson seconded the motion. The motion passed on a voice vote.
The Chair asked for a motion to take action on HB2437 - Prohibiting the use of identifiable meat terms on labels or in advertisements of meat analogs without either an accompanying disclaimer that the product does not contain meat or the inclusion of the word “imitation” before the name of the meat food product being imitated.
Representative Smith moved to take action on HB2437 as amended. Representative Carlin seconded the motion. The motion passed on a voice vote.
