Chairperson McGinn called for final action on SB 409.
Chairperson McGinn distributed a proposed balloon amendment and discussed the recommended changes. (Attachment 1)
Chairperson McGinn moved, Senator Pettey seconded, adoption of the balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Denning discussed SB 225, which had a hearing in Ways and Means last session but was then referred to the Public Health and Welfare Committee. It was just referred back to Ways and Means and is directly related to SB 409. Senator Denning indicated that they had not brought SB 225 above the line due to concerns regarding possible Medicaid Expansion amendments. Both Senator Denning and Senator Hensley agreed that this issue is important and neither party will attempt to amend either SB 225 or SB 409 with Medicaid Expansion.
Chairperson McGinn continued final action on SB 409.
Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 1:34 pm.
