Jason Thompson gave a briefing on SB358 explaining that it gives oversight and administration of the state certified ignition interlock device manufacturers and service providers to the Kansas Highway Patrol instead of the Department of Revenue. (Attachment 11)
The Division of Revenue submitted a fiscal note on the bill.(Attachment 12)
Deann Williams spoke as a proponent of SB358 explaining the Department of Revenue requested this bill because it makes good business sense for the agency that enforces the program with these companies to be the one to handle oversight of them. (Attachment 13)
