Mark Tallman, Kansas Association of School Boards gave oral testimony in support of HB 2526. Mark stresses his stance on how it would help the districts. (Attachment 1)

Rep Thomas gave oral testimony in support of HB 2526. Rep. Thomas pointed out several benefits of the bill and how everyone wins. (Attachment 2)

Brad Wilson, Spring Hills Schools, gave oral testimony in support of HB 2526. Brad gave background information on his school district, bond and interest payments, and how this bill would benefit his district greatly. (Attachment 3)
Chair called Quentin Breese, Concordia Schools USD 333 to testify.
Quentin Breese gave oral testimony in support of HB 2526. Quentin gave a background of his district and the challenges facing them moving forward. (Attachment 4)
Chair called Dr. Clint Schutte, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance, Haysville Schools, USD 261 to testify.
Dr. Clint Schutte gave oral testimony in support of HB 2526. Showed how haysville would be number 2 on the green sheet list. Gave a background on home values, challenges facing his community and district. (Attachment 5)
Chair Williams asked if Quentin was losing students? Students are in and out from year to year.

Dustin Avey gave oral testimony in a neutral position. Dustin gave an overview of his background, shared that he was neutral because he could be used as a resource. Fiscal implications. Stood for questions. (Attachment 6)
Chair Williams asked how many schools were paying on bonds from 2015. 40-50 Schools
Asked Jason for any historical new bond issues.
Rep. Tarwater asked what removing the virtual students do to the financial numbers. What would that do to the fiscal note.
Rep. Ward asked Jason where the provision came in at in 2015? SB 7
Chair urged committee to review written testimony provided.
