Natalie Scott gave an overview of HB2493.
Executive Director Scott Schultz on behalf of the Kansas Sentencing Commission in support of HB2493. He stated the Commission appreciates the service of all past and present legislative members, for logical reasons it is recommended that newly appointed members can better advocate or articulate the position of the Commission and more fully provide thoughtful, efficient insight to these respective committees if they are members of the house corrections and senate judiciary committees. (Attachment 19)
Chairperson Jennings called for final questions from the Committee and then closed the hearing.
Chairperson Jennings adjourned the meeting.
