Chairman Olson opened the hearing on SB 281 - Enacting the healthcare price disclosure a act. He called upon Eileen Ma for a Revisor of Statutes review of the bill.
He called upon Senator Hilderbrand for primary proponent testimony. Senator Hilderbrand offered two published articles for the committee to review. (Attachment 1)

Chairman Olson called upon Travis Oller for proponent testimony. Mr. Oller stated that the bill could be an important piece of the solution. He suggested an amendment to the bill, "Such services shall be identified by a common procedure terminology code and by a plain language description."
Chairman Olson called upon Audrey Dunkel for primary opponent testimony, Ms Dunkek explained why her association did not think the bill was necessary.
Chariman Olson called upon Rachelle Columbo additional opponent testimony. Ms Columbo claimed that the bill could cause significant confusion among consumers.
Seeing no further testimony, Chairman Olson closed the hearing on the bill.
