The Chairperson opened the hearing on HB 2478. Eileen Ma, Assistant Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of the bill (Attachment 1).
Lee Modesitt testified in support of the bill. He said the bill seeks to clean up technical language differences between the NAIC's Third-Party Administrator (TPA) model bill and the Kansas Statutes (Attachment 2).
There were no opponents to the bill.
Questions were asked and answered regarding: the difference in the language terms of "accident and sickness" and "health."
There being no other conferees or questions, the chairperson closed the hearing on HB 2478.
