Chairperson Patton opened the hearing on HB2448.
Natalie Scott provided an overview of HB2448 which was written by Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor. Ms. Scott stood for questions. (Attachment 8)
Ed Klump provided testimony in support of HB2448. Mr. Klump explained the amendments to KSA 8-1568 will address law enforcement's ability to address criminals trying to elude them. He stood for questions. (Attachment 9)
John Goodyear provided testimony in support of HB2448. Mr. Goodyear is seeking to increase the penalties for a driver of a motor vehicle who willfully fails or refuses to bring their vehicle to a stop and attempts to flee or elude a pursing law enforcement vehicle. He stood for questions. (Attachment 10)
