Chairperson Suellentrop opened the hearing on SB231.
Scott Abbott, Staff Revisor, gave an overview of the bill.
Senator Jim Denning gave proponent testimony for SB231. He testified that passage of this bill would authorize the deposit of rebates received for medical assistance enrollees would be deposited into the state general fund. These deposits would be reported monthly to Legislative Research and the Director of Budget and would be titled "drug rebates" on monthly reports under "other revenue sources". (Attachment 1)
