Chairperson Barker asked the Committee to open their folders on SB77.
Representative Ruiz moved to recommend SB77 favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Thomas.
Representative Lusk moved to amend SB77 (Attachment 18) by adding "or other mental health provider" to Section 1(a)(1), seconded by Representative Ruiz.
Representative Smith stated that this is a good amendment because the Child Advocacy Centers can easily get overloaded.
An oral vote was taken, and the amendment to SB77 was passed.
Representative Ruiz moved to recommend SB77, as amended, favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Awerkamp. SB77, as amended, was favorably passed.
Chairperson Barker opened the floor for requests for bill introductions. There were none.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
