Chairperson Patton opened a hearing on SB134.
Natalie Scott, Assistant Revisor, provided an overview of SB134. (Attachment13) Ms Scott addressed questions from the membership.
Kim Parker testified in support of SB134 stating the belief in "the amendments to this statute [K.S.A. 21-5840] need to be made in order to insure that the intent of this body in passing this statute is accomplished. (Attachment 14) She stood for questions.
The following written testimony in support of SB134 was provided by Chardee Cain, Kansas League of Kansas Municipalities. (Attachment 15)
No testimony neutral or in opposition to SB134 was presented to the Committee.
When all questions from the Committee were answered, Chairperson Patton closed the hearing on SB134.
