Staff explained the bill. The Chairman recognized Don McNeely. (Attachment 6) According to Mr. McNeely, the amendment in SB39 deals with the rate that manufacturers reimburse their franchised dealers for warranty and recalls and does not affect consumers since it only involves repairs for which the consumer does not pay.
The Chairman asked if there were other proponents, neutrals or opponents, there were none so after all questions were answered Chairman Proehl closed the hearing on SB39.
APPROVAL OF COMMITTEE MINUTES
Chairman Proehl asked for approval of the Committee Minutes of meetings held on February 14, 19, 20 and 21, 2019. Representative Helgerson moved to approve the Minutes, seconded by Representative Ballard. Motion carried.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chairman Proehl advised the Committee the next meeting would be on March 7th and the Committee would hear two bills and work two bills.
