Chairperson Bowers opened final action on SB130. Mike Heim, staff revisor, reviewed the bill. Mr. Heim distributed and explained a balloon amendment. (Attachment 4) Mr. Heim also suggested the amendment be moved to a different statute and explained the reason; the same concept, just in a different statute. (Attachment 5) Discussion ensued.
Senator Haley moved, Senator Braun seconded, adoption of the proposed amendment and move to K.S.A. 25-1124. Motion carried.
Senator Hardy moved, Senator Faust-Goudeau seconded, to recommend Substitute for SB130 favorably for passage. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:28 a.m.
