Chairman Hineman opened the hearing on HB2112. Amelia Kovar-Donohoe provided an overview of the bill and responded to questions from committee members.
Senator Richard Hilderbrand testified as a proponent of the bill. Senator Hilderbrand stated by adding Crawford County to the list of counties eligible for the rural opportunity zone program would give the county a much-needed tool to attract people to relocate to Kansas instead of one of our neighboring states (Attachment 6).
