Jaime Gaggero, KDHE testified in support of the bill.(Attachment 10)
Jaime Gaggero stated that as proposed, SB 171 amends four statutes to align state laws with federal laws, clarifies penalty procedures, and allow certain regionalization project types to seek funding under the Kansas Public Water Supply Loan Fund. She then presented four statutory changes requested.
Several members asked questions. Jaime Gaggero answered some questions and then asked for William Carr to answer questions. Chairman Masterson called Mr. Carr to the front. He stated his name and position. All questions were answered.
