Pam Scott provided information on the issues that have arisen with the delays in death certificates being issued. This issue causes hardships for families when trying to deal with benefits (Attachment 1).
Mrs.Scott fielded questions from the committee.
Dr. Lee Norman described how the adoption of this bill will eliminate some of the issues that contribute to the issue. Training and continuing education are a vital part and will lead to an improved system (Attachment 2).

Lori Haskett provided supporting testimony especially in the area of deaths from drug overdose. There is a hope that there would be standard testing included with the process (Attachment 3).
