Chairperson Vickrey opened the hearing on HB 2209.
Assistant Revisor Eileen Ma briefed the members on the bill. She said the bill amended K.S.A. 75-4101, pertaining to the committee on surety bonds and insurance. She said the bill would allow the State Board of Regents to purchase cybersecurity insurance to protect student records, labor information and other protected data that the board maintained independently of the committee on surety bonds and insurance (Attachment 3)
