Without objection, Chairperson Williams opened a hearing on HB2108.
Jason Long presented to the committee an explanation of HB2108. (Attachment 2) He stood for questions.
Chuck Knapp presented testimony to the committee in support of HB2108 indicating the bill "makes it clear 'at-risk' funding may be used to support evidence-based programs with measurable successful outcomes, that help students facing various barriers to success, graduate from high school". (Attachment 3) He stood for numerous questions.
Allie Devine presented testimony to the committee neutral to HB2108 by requesting clarification "that these funds would be available for state based national nonprofit organizations that augment the school day with before, after and summer enrichment programs". (Attachment 4) She stood for questions.
Rob Gilligan presented testimony to the committee neutral to HB2108 because "we are reluctant to see a specific program [Jobs for Amrica's Graduates] enshrined in statute". (Attachment 5) He stood for questions.
No testimony in opposition to HB2108 was presented to the Committee.
When all questions from the Committee were answered, Chairperson Williams closed the hearing on HB2108.
