Providing for the Kansas City Chiefs, sporting Kansas City, Sedgwick county zoo, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City current distinctive license plates.

Chris Waggoner, Assistant Revisor of Statutes, provided the committee with a briefing of the bill.(Attachment 1)

Senator Kellie Warren stood and gave testimony in support of the bill as this would provide opportunity to unite communities and the state across the spectrum of  teams and sports through a license plate for Kansans. (Attachment 2)

Scott Newland gave testimony before the committee in support of the bill, because it would reach thousnds of people to inform them of the Zoo in Sedgwick County and the license plate would support the conservation efforts and operations of the zoo.    (Attachment 3)

John Federico gave testimony supporting this bill honoring  Sporting Kansas City (SKC) as the distinctive, professional and only soccer team in the region that gives global exposure for Kansas, attracting people from all over the world. (Attachment 4)  

Lexie Clark, provided testimony to the committee supporting this bill as this would provide a meaning of core partnership and philanthropic contribution associated with teh license plate allowing fans to display their team pride while celebrating and empowering communities of  children in Kansas through the Victory Project. (Attachment 5) 

Cynthia McCarvel gave testimony supporting the the bill as it would allow supporters to purchase a Topeka Zoo specialty plate and help to reach and spread the message of what is done at the Topeka Zoo while also raising revenue to support its mission.   (Attachment 6)

Written only testimony in support of the bill was submitted by Senator Dinah Sykes (Attachment 7) and Raven Jemison. (Attachment 8)
