The Chairperson opened the meeting for discussion and action on HB2667. The Revisor provided a summary of the bill.
Chairperson Carpenter stated that he has an amendment (Attachment 1). Previously when funds came in, they was divided up so that 75 percent went to the community crisis stabilization centers fund and 25 percent went to the breakthrough clubs. The Lottery asked that set amounts be given instead of percentages. The amendment allows for the monthly transfer of $750,000 from the lottery operating fund to the community crisis stabilization centers fund and $250,000 to the clubhouse model program fund of the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).
Discussion followed.
Representative Kessler moved to amend HB2667, seconded by Representative Ruiz. The motion carried.
Representative Ruiz moved to recommend HB2667, as amended, favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Haskins. HB2667, as amended, was favorably passed.
