Chairperson Billinger opened the hearing on HB 2495. Dylan Dear, Legislative Research Department, provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 4)
Adam Proffitt, Director of the Division of the Budget, spoke in support of the bill. This bill only contains the pay plan shortfall fix. The State Finance Council approved this as a way forward and he respectfully asks for swift action to get this through quickly. He asked for an amendment to lift Section 18, Subsections (b), (c), and (d) from SB 382 to fund the University of Kansas and Wichita State University healthcare collaboration. (Attachment 5)
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Billinger closed the hearing on HB 2495.
