The Chair called for final action on HB2353. Natalie Scott provided a review of the bill.
Representative Owens proposed an amendment that was requested by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. (Attachment 8)
Representative Owens moved, Representative Eric Smith seconded, to adopt the amendment. The motion carried.
Representative Owens proposed a technical amendment that would adjust the dates because this bill was introduced last year. (Attachment 9)
Representative Owens moved, Representative Turk seconded, to adopt the amendment. The motion carried.
Representative Eric Smith moved, Representative Thompson seconded, to recommend HB2353 as amended, favorably for passage. The motion carried. Representatives Carmichael and Martinez requested their "aye" votes be recorded.
