The Vice Chair opened the hearing on HB2530. Assistant Revisor, Eileen Ma, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions (Attachment 1) The Vice Chair recognized Eric Turek, Director of Government and Public Affairs, Kansas Department of Insurance, who gave testimony in support of this bill, a bill to amend K.S A.40-2,125 concerning the Kansas Insurance Department's general enforcement statute. This bill eliminates the reference of automobile club in the definition of "person" as automobile clubs are no longer under the jurisdiction of the Insurance Department.(Attachment 2) The conferee stood for questions. The hearing on HB2530 was closed by the Vice Chair.
