Chairperson Longbine opened the hearing on SB340. Eileen Ma, (ROS) presented the Revisor's Memorandum Brief and stood for questions. There were none. (Attachment 5)
Eric Turek, Director of Government and Public Affairs, KID, was the sole proponent for the bill, which the Insurance Department requested. Mr. Turek explained that SB340, amends the Insurance Department's general enforcement statute, in that automobile clubs are no longer under the jurisdiction of KID. (Attachment 6) Mr. Turek stood for questions. There were none.
There being no other questions or discussion, and no other proponent, opponent, or neutral testimony submitted, the Chairperson closed the hearing on SB340.
The meeting adjourned at 9:47 am. The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Room 546-South of the Capitol.
