Chairperson Bowers opened final action on SB301. Charles Reimer, staff revisor, reviewed the bill.
Chairperson Bowers invited Mark Skoglund, Executive Director, Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission, to make some comments about the bill. Mr. Skoglund addressed questions from the Committee.
Senator Francisco distributed and explained a balloon amendment. (Attachment 1)
Senator Francisco moved, Senator Faust-Goudeau seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator McGinn moved, Senator Thompson seconded, to recommend SB301 as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
