Chairperson Petersen called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m. and opened the hearing on HB2014.
Assistant Revisor Adam Siebers explained that the bill designates a portion of U.S. Highway 69 in Crawford County as the Robert Lessen Memorial Highway (Attachment 1).
Representative Ken Collins, District 2, spoke in support of the bill (Attachment 2). He traced the history of Mr. Lessen through his childhood in Arma, his service in the Army Air Corps as a B-24 gunner with the Flying Tigers, and his service to the community as a business owner, church member, city council member, and mayor (Attachment 3).
The Chair closed the hearing on HB2014.
