Tamera Lawrence, ROS, provided the Revisor's Memorandum brief on HB2285. She indicated that this bill was to update certain statutes in K.S.A. Chapter 40 to conform it to current language and drafting practices. It is the House version of SB119. (Attachment 3)
Eric Turek, Director, Government and Public Affairs, KID, presented testimony supporting this bill. He told members that it had passed the House by a vote of 123-0, and also passed the Senate 40-0. No changes to the bill were made in either chamber. (Attachment 4)
Seeing no questions or further discussion, and no other proponent, opponent, or neutral testimony was submitted, Chairperson Longbine closed the hearing on HB2285 and opened the hearing on HB2198.
