Chairwoman Warren opened the hearing on HB2069. Jason Thompson, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions.(Attachment 14)
Randy Bowman gave testimony in support of HB2069. He stated HB2069 would clarify that time can only be tolled in accordance with the current law, a continuation of decades long application by KDOC. Hopefully reducing the number of question received by KDOC. (Attachment15)
Jessica Domme testified in support of HB2069. She stated the Kansas Sentencing Commission believes HB2069 will provide direction on the allocation of jail credit that is in line with previous legislative intent. (Attachment 16)
