Eileen Ma, Assistant Revisor, ROS, presented a Memorandum brief on the bill. (Attachment 5) Chairperson Longbine requested that Ms. Ma create an amendment changing the enactment date, so that the bill can be scheduled sooner.
Eric Turek, Director, Government and Public Affairs, KID, presented oral proponent testimony on the bill, which also was requested by KID. (Attachment 6)
Seeing no questions or discussion, and no other proponent, opponent, or neutral testimony was submitted, Chairperson Longbine closed the hearing on HB2100. The Chairperson advised the Committee that tomorrow they would be hearing an important Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) bill.
The meeting adjourned at 9:40 am. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 9:30 am in Room 546-South of the Capitol.
