Chairperson Waymaster opened the hearing on HB2273.
Dylan Dear, Acting Assistant Director for Fiscal Affairs, Kansas Legislative Research Department, provided a bill briefing of HB2273. The first half of the handout covers the Governor's recommendation and summarizes the major changes by the Appropriations Committee so far. The second half of the handout is a shorthand document contains only changes from the Governor's recommendations and will accompany the bill when it is moved out of committee, and also recreates the basis for the Conference Committee comparison report going forward. (Attachment 3)
