Carl Sims/Nahale Kalfas, The Counsel of State Governments National Center for Interstate Compacts (CSG), provide neutral testimony for HB2288 (Attachment 10). The CSG provides technical assistance to states during the development and administration of the Counseling Compact. Counselors who meet the uniform licensure requirements are able to quickly obtain a privilege to practice.The Compact has no impact on a state's scope of practice and leaves state specific licensure requirements in place.
