Chairwoman Warren opened the hearing on SB232, Jenna Moyer, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions.(Attachment 2)
Ty Masterson, gave testimony in support of SB232. He stated this legislation would bring in a true independent set of eyes to examine the circumstances. (Attachment 3)
Rachel Marsh, gave testimony in support of SB232. She stated they are proponents of a statutory office of child advocate. She encouraged the committee to work together with all interested parties to create the strongest possible bill. (Attachment 4)
Mike Fonkert, stated Kansas Appleseed supports SB232. He stated the children of Kansas deserve the strongest, most independent Office of the Child Advocate and Kansas Appleseed looks forward to working with the committee to to codify this important tool into law this year. (Attachment 5).
