Chairperson Warren opened the hearing on SB189. Jason Thompson, Revisor's Office, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions. (Attachment 6)
Ed Klumpp gave testimony is support of SB189. He stated the law enforcement associations requested the bill in response to an issue they have encountered repeatedly that is not covered in the existing law on accessing personnel records from agencies where a police officer applicant has previously worked. The added information will help hiring agencies assure we are hiring quality applicants.(Attachment 7)
