Chairperson Delperdang called for final action on HB2226.
Nick Myers, provided the Revisors review of HB2226 and responded to questions from the committee members.
Chair opened discussion on HB2226 and ask if there were any amendments.
Representative Ohaebosim presented an amendment that allows hand digging within 24" of a terminal or network.
Chairperson Delperdang asked to have the amendment explained. Nick Myers explained the amendment. (Attachment5). Mr. Myers responded to questions from the committee members.
Chair ask committee for any discussion on the amendment. Several members agree after discussion the amendment needs additional work.
Representative Neighbor moved to amend HB2226 with the hand digging amendment, seconded by Representative Bergquist. Motion failed.
Chair ask committee for additional discussion on HB2226.
Representative Neighbor moved to pass HB2226, seconded by Representative Borjon. Motion carried.
The next House Energy, Utilities and Telecommunication committee meeting is scheduled for February 21st.
Chair adjourned the meeting at 9:58am.
