Vice Chair Borjorn called the meeting to order.
The chair welcomed Representative Dennis Miller who is substituting for Representative Poskins.
Vice Chair Borjon opened the hearing on HB2291.
Charles Reimer briefed the committee on the bill and stood for questions.

The Chair informed the committee that he had requested that Rachel Willis, Director of Legislative Affairs, Kansas Department of Commerce be present to speak on HB 2123 (Attachment 4). He felt it was important that the Kansas Department of Commerce have the opportunity to speak and answer questions about the bill since they were unavailable to provide testimony in person on February 1, 2023. The testimony was neutral and written only for the February 1, 2023 meeting.
