The bill is to add "Fire Districts" to the language. This is to continue to offer health insurance coverage through COBRA to the families of fallen fire fighters. It is only for those Fire Districts that offer health insurance benefits. The recipients would need to have the health insurance coverage at the time of the incident to be eligible for COBRA. Feels this was an oversight when the original statute was put in place.
