Chairperson Proctor opened the hearing on HB 2087 and asked Revisor Long to give an overview of the bill. (Attachment 12) There were no questions.
Clay Barker, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, General Counsel, was recognized by Chairperson Proctor and offered proponent testimony on HB 2087. Mr. Barker stated the Secretary of State's office introduced this legislation following the passage of the federal Electoral Count Act to ensure current statute reflects new federal law. (Attachment 13)
Mr. Barker stood for questions.
There was no other testimony offered on this bill.
Chairperson Proctor thanked Mr. Barker for his testimony and closed the hearing on HB 2087.
