Revisor Wolters stood for questions.
Proponent testimony in person:
- Melissa Rooker, Executive Director, Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund (Attachment 6)
- Representative Waymaster informed the Committee members that he is a proponent. There is an advisory committee that met when the statewide Dolly Parton Imagination Library was created, of which he is a member. In order to keep this a private-public partnership program, it is necessary to establish this 501(c)(3), to solicit other organizations to participate in the program and make it a statewide program for 0- to 5-year-olds. The program is an opt-in program.
Proponent testimony in written only:
- Sonia Olmos, Operations and Communications Manager, Oral Health Kansas (Attachment 7)
- Nora Briggs, Executive Director, Dollywood Foundation (Attachment 8)
There was no opponent or neutral testimony.
Chairperson Waymaster closed the public hearing on HB2191.
