Brief (1)
SB 357, as recommended by the Senate Committee, concerns deposit of agency receipts. The bill statutorily exempts the Judicial Branch from the provisions of 2001 SB 15, which requires agencies to make deposits of agency receipts on a daily basis unless granted an exemption by the Pooled Money Investment Board. SB 357 would allow courts to continue to remit court fees and charges on a monthly basis.
Background
A representative of the Office of Judicial Administration testified in support of the bill.
The fiscal note prepared by the Division of the Budget indicated that the bill would have no fiscal impact.
