S.B. 33 repeals a 1967 statute relating to authority of certain city unified school districts to issue bonds that had been authorized but not issued by city of the first class school districts prior to their disorganization and unification.
Background
S.B. 33 is one of 11 bills (S.B. 27 through S.B. 37) introduced by Senator Emert at the suggestion of the State Department of Education to remove from the books certain statutes that have become obsolete, have expired, or contain outdated provisions of education law.
The State Department of Education reports that bonds issued under the authority of this law have been retired.
According to the State Department of Education, the bill has no fiscal consequences.
