SENATE BILL No. 663
An Act providing for redistricting of state board of
education member districts;
repealing K.S.A. 4-502 through 4-513.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
Section 1. In accordance with
section 3 of article 6 of the constitution
of the state of Kansas, the state of Kansas is divided into ten
state board
of education member districts.
Sec. 2. The senatorial districts
referred to in sections 3 through 12
are those senatorial districts established by 2002 Substitute for
Senate
Bill No. 256.
Sec. 3. State board of education
member district one shall consist of
senatorial districts 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Sec. 4. State board of education
member district two shall consist of
senatorial districts 7, 8, 10 and 11.
Sec. 5. State board of education
member district three shall consist
of senatorial districts 9, 12, 23 and 37.
Sec. 6. State board of education
member district four shall consist of
senatorial districts 2, 18, 19 and 20.
Sec. 7. State board of education
member district five shall consist of
senatorial districts 36, 38, 39 and 40.
Sec. 8. State board of education
member district six shall consist of
senatorial districts 1, 21, 22 and 24.
Sec. 9. State board of education
member district seven shall consist
of senatorial districts 31, 33, 34 and 35.
Sec. 10. State board of education
member district eight shall consist
of senatorial districts 25, 28, 29 and 30.
Sec. 11. State board of education
member district nine shall consist
of senatorial districts 13, 14, 15 and 17.
Sec. 12. State board of education
member district ten shall consist
of senatorial districts 16, 26, 27 and 32.
Sec. 13. K.S.A. 4-502 through 4-513 are hereby
repealed.
Sec. 14. This act shall take effect and be in
force from and after its
publication in the Kansas register.
