HOUSE BILL No. 2056
An Act making and concerning appropriations for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2001,
and June 30, 2002, for the legislative coordinating council; authorizing certain transfers,
imposing certain restrictions and limitations, and directing or authorizing certain re-
ceipts, disbursements and acts incidental to the foregoing.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:

 Section 1. (a) For the fiscal years ending June 30, 2001, and June 30,
2002, appropriations are hereby made, restrictions and limitations are
hereby imposed, and transfers, receipts, disbursements and acts inciden-
tal to the foregoing are hereby directed or authorized as provided in this
act.

 (b) This act shall not be subject to the provisions of subsection (a) of
K.S.A. 75-6702 and amendments thereto.

 Sec. 2.

LEGISLATIVE COORDINATING COUNCIL
 (a) There is appropriated for the above agency from the state general
fund for the fiscal year or years specified, the following:

Legislative coordinating council--KPERS actuarial audit
For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001
$150,000
Provided, That any unencumbered balance in excess of $100 as of June
30, 2001, in the legislative coordinating council--KPERS actuarial audit
account is hereby reappropriated for fiscal year 2002: Provided further,
That all expenditures from the legislative coordinating council--KPERS
actuarial audit account shall be for the independent actuarial audit and
evaluation of actuarial services and valuations provided to the Kansas pub-
lic employees retirement system as prescribed by K.S.A. 2000 Supp. 74-
4908a and amendments thereto under a contract for such audit services
entered into by the legislative coordinating council as provided in K.S.A.
46-1204 and amendments thereto.

 Sec. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the Kansas register.
