An Act authorizing establishment of the Manhattan area technical college.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:

Section 1. (a) The Manhattan area vocational school, known as the Manhattan area technical center, is authorized to be converted to and established as a technical college and, upon such conversion and estab- lishment as provided by law, shall be officially designated as the Man- hattan area technical college.

(b) Whenever the Manhattan area vocational school, or the Manhat- tan area technical center, is referred to or designated by or in any statute, contract or other document, such reference or designation shall be deemed to apply to the Manhattan area technical college.

Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the statute book.
