   Prayer by Chaplain Svoboda:

              Eternal God,

              A moment in your eyes
              is like a thousand years.
Sometimes it feels the same way
              in our lives-
or that a year has flashed by
              in a second.
                  Be with us
              when time drags on
that we may see the beauty and value
              in each moment.
And be with us as well
when time seems to be passing too quickly,
so that we may slow down,
                        breathe in your spirit,
              and relax in the knowledge
              that you are with us
              every moment of every day.
               In Your Name, Amen.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Rep. Flora.
