TWENTY-EIGHTH DAY

The House met pursuant to adjournment with Speaker pro tem Mays in the chair.

The roll was called with 124 members present.

Rep. Franklin was excused on excused absence by the Speaker.

   Prayer by Chaplain Svoboda:

            Holy God,

You have both supreme power, and supreme compassion.

Be with us as we struggle to use our power wisely,

and prod us to be more compassionate in our lives and decisions.

You are both creator and judge.

Show us how to be less judgmental,

and more creative in our solutions.

You are called both Holy Wisdom and the Light of the World.

Help us uncover our own wisdom

so that we might enlighten our world. In your name we pray.

            Amen.
