SENATE BILL No. 460
      An Act relating to the office of the state treasurer; authorizing the state treasurer to
      designate certain positions to be in the unclassified service under the Kansas civil
      service act.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:

      Section  1. (a) Whenever a classified position in the office of the state
treasurer becomes vacant, the state treasurer is authorized to designate
the position to be in the unclassified service under the Kansas civil service
act.

      (b) Nothing in this section shall affect the status of being in the clas-
sified service of any person employed in the office of state treasurer on
the date immediately preceding the effective date of this act.

 Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the Kansas register.
