10             AN  ACT authorizing the Kansas department of wildlife and parks to ex-
11             ceed established expenditure limitations for compliance with federal
12             aid expenditure requirements.

14       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
15             Section  1. (a) The Kansas department of wildlife and parks may make
16       additional expenditures from the funds listed in subsection (b) for the
17       purposes of allocating appropriate funds to programmatic expenditures if
18       necessary in order to comply with requirements established by the United
19       States fish and wildlife service for the utilization of federal aid funds. Such
20       expenditures shall be in addition to any expenditure limitation imposed
21       upon the funds listed in subsection (b) as contained within legislation
22       establishing expenditure limitations for a state fiscal year as described
23       within any such legislation.
24             (b) The provisions of subsection (a) shall apply only to the wildlife
25       fee fund created by K.S.A. 32-990 and amendments thereto; the park fee
26       fund created by K.S.A. 32-991 and amendments thereto; and the boating
27       fee fund created by K.S.A. 32-1173 and amendments thereto.
28             (c) The secretary of wildlife and parks shall prepare an annual report
29       on all expenditures authorized by subsection (a). Such report shall be
30       submitted to the governor and the legislature on the first day of each
31       regular legislative session.
32        Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
33       publication in the Kansas register.
