                    SENATE BILL No. 660           By Senators Hensley, Biggs, Downey, Feleciano, Goodwin, Jones, Karr,           Lee, Petty and Steineger           2-13           10             AN ACT concerning the insurance commissioner and employees of the
11             insurance department; prohibiting certain acts.

13       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
14           Section 1. (a) No individual shall be employed by a regulated entity
15       within one year following: (1) The date of resignation or expiration of a
16       term of office of insurance commissioner; or (2) the date of termination
17       of employment as an employee of the insurance department.
18           (b) As used in this section ``regulated entity'' means any person who
19       is required by law to be licensed by the insurance commissioner, or any
20       person who engages in a business or profession which is regulated by the
21       insurance commissioner, or any person employed by a company regulated
22       by the insurance commissioner.
23           Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
24       publication in the statute book.
