                    SENATE BILL No. 596           By Committee on Judiciary           2-5             9             AN ACT concerning the attorney general; relating to appointment of
10             additional assistant attorney general; child abuse or neglect.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13           Section 1. The attorney general shall appoint at least one additional
14       assistant attorney general whose principal responsibility shall be to assist
15       county or district attorneys in investigations and prosecutions of cases
16       arising out of a report of child abuse or neglect.
17           Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
18       publication in the statute book.
