                    HOUSE BILL No. 3012           By Committee on Appropriations           3-17             9             AN ACT concerning the department of social and rehabilitation services;
10             relating to foster care services and contracts with service providers.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13           Section 1. The secretary of social and rehabilitation services shall re-
14       view the performance of all service providers that are providing foster
15       care services under the statewide foster care program. In the case of any
16       service provider under the statewide foster care program that provides
17       foster care services in more than one region of the state and that does
18       not fully meet all outcome goals and indicators and other performance
19       objectives under the provider contract agreement in each such region of
20       the state, the secretary of social and rehabilitation services shall not renew
21       or enter into a provider contract agreement with such service provider to
22       provide foster care services in more than one region of the state.
23           Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
24       publication in the Kansas register.
